Winter aconites and snowdrops have faded, and orange and purple crocuses have begun blooming in our little garden here in Cambridge. My favourite things at the moment, though, are these:
Iris ‘Katharine Hodgkin’ – new to us, but a much-treasured classic for many. Glad they survived the gales of this week.Iris ‘Katherine’s Gold’ – I loved these so much last year that I bought another bag of bulbs and planted them in a little bowl.
And a wonderful surprise when you lift up their heads to look at their faces:
